Al-Dabaiba calls for coordinating efforts among Arab oil-exporting countries
Pulbished on:Tripoli, March 1, 2023 (LANA) - Head of the Government of National Unity, Abdul Hamid al-Dabiba, met Wednesday, in Tripoli, the Secretary-General of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), Haitham Al-Ghais, who is currently visiting Libya.
During the meeting, Al-Dabaiba considered that the visit of the Secretary-General of OPEC reflects Libya's recovery at various levels, including the oil sector.
The prime minister stressed the need for coordinating efforts among the Arab oil-exporting countries to increase investment among them, and to unify technical and economic positions on many issues presented within the organization.
For his part, Al-Ghais expressed his delight at visiting Libya, and thanked the government for its support for the oil sector and allocating the necessary budgets for its development, stressing the importance of Libya in the region and the world in the fields of oil and gas production, according to the media office of the Prime Minister.
The meeting was attended by Governor of the Central Bank of Libya, Al-Siddiq Al-Kabeer, Ministers of Oil and Gas, Mohamed Aoun, Minister of Finance, Khaled Al-Mabrouk and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Adel Jumaa.
