House of Representatives and the UN agree to continue dialogue between the two parts.

Tripoli 14 February 2023 (Lana) the House of Representatives and the UN agreed on continuing dialogue between the two parts to reach constructive steps to reform the sectors of security and justice in Libya.

This came during a meeting between the Chairman of the Interior Committee in the House of Representatives, Suleiman Al-Hariri, accompanied by a number of members of the Council, at the headquarters of the Council’s Office branch in Tripoli, yesterday, with a team from the UNSMIL, represented by experts from the Security Sector Reform Division.

The council stated on its SMS page that the meeting discussed two main topics, the first related to the international approach regarding the role of the House of Representatives in supervising the restructuring of the security sector, and the second presented and discussed visions and plans in this area by members of the House of Representatives.
