Ministry of Health organizes a training programme to qualify intensive care physicians

Sabha, 22 December, 2022 (Lana) - Ministry of Health has organized a training programme to qualify intensive care doctors working in hospitals in the cities and regions of southern Libya, under the supervision of the Ministry's Health Emergency Department.

The training programme was implemented in its 4th phase for a week, in coordination with the World Health Organization, during which twenty-five doctors were qualified to work in the ambulance and emergency departments in hospitals (Ghadames, Daraj, Traghen, Wadi Ataba, Germa, Ghat, and Bint Bayyah).

The Ministry of Health's plan includes training courses, lectures and practical applications on first aid and receiving emergency cases, with the aim of qualifying intensive care physicians in emergency medicine, at emergency departments in a number of hospitals located in the southern region.

Director of the Health Emergency Department, Mohamed al-Ghaziwi, stated that the training programme was aimed to qualify more than four hundred doctors at the level of Libya in several training stages, as part of the Ministry's plan to develop cadres and improve and develop health services.
