Al-Dabiba stresses, in his meeting with female members of municipal councils of eastern region, role of women in supporting elections.

 Tripoli, 12 December, 2022 (LANA) - Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdul Hamid al-Dabiba, has received this afternoon, at the Council of Ministers, female municipal council members in the municipalities of Mosaed, Benghazi, Derna, Al-Bayda, Al-Qubba, Al-Abyar, Al-Kufra, Al-Marj, Gallo, Al-Malitaniyya, Salouq, Al-Qayb, Tazerbo, Al-Abraq, Al-Sahel, Jardis Al-Obeid and Bir Al-Ashhab. The meeting was attended by Minister of State for Women's Affairs Houria Tarmal, Undersecretaries of the Ministries of Justice Naziha Ashour, Education Masouda Al-Aswad, Culture Widad Al-Duwaini, and a number of female members of the Supreme Council of State.

 Al-Dabaiba welcomed the active participation of the female members of the "Libyan Forum for Municipal Council Members for the category of women," stressing that their presence from all parts of Libya to the forum gives a clear message that Libya is one and united, stressing the main role of women in supporting the elections and working to activate their broad participation.

 At the meeting, the Prime Minister discussed the work mechanisms of municipal council members within their municipalities, activating their role in supporting local administration, transferring specializations, and empowering women to play their role at the local level and their real and active participation.

 Al-Dabaiba also listened to the proposals of the members, stressing that the government is working to provide all necessary services to all municipalities nationwide, expressing his happiness for their presence and the hassle of traveling in order to convey the citizen's voice in the various municipalities.
