GNU Foreign Ministry condemns Greek Foreign Minister’s decision not to disembark after his arrival in Tripoli.
Pulbished on:Tripoli, 17 November 2022 (Lana) The GNU Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation denounced, in a statement issued on Thursday, Greek Foreign Minister decision not to disembark from his plane after his arrival today in Tripoli and his return from where he came from without any explanations, despite the fact that the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation was at the airport to welcome him in accordance with diplomatic norms.
The Ministry said in a statement that it granted the minister its approval to visit Tripoli at his request despite the crude policies and positions he adopted during the past days towards the interests of the Libyan state, which were reflected in his unbalanced statements regarding Libya's sovereignty and its right to relations that achieve the aspirations of its people.
In its statement, the ministry rejected this action, saying it would take "appropriate diplomatic measures that preserve the prestige and sovereignty of the State of Libya."
