An expanded meeting chaired by Musa Al-Koni and Abdullah Al-Lafi stresses need to increase disclosure rates, follow up and rationalize spending, work to improve services for citizens.
Pulbished on:Tripoli, 3 November 2022 (Lana) An expanded meeting was held on Thursday in the meeting room of the Audit Office in Tripoli under the chairmanship of the two vice-presidents of the Presidential Council Abdullah Al-Lafi and Moussa Al-Koni, and in the presence of the Head of the Government of National Unity Abdul Hamid Al Dabaiba, the Head of the Audit Office, the Governor of the Central Bank of Libya, the Deputy Prime Minister, the Ministers of Finance, the Acting Minister Planning, Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs, the Advisor to the Governor, the Directors of the Law Departments of the Audit Office and the Ministry of Finance, and a number of technical departments in various institutions.
During the opening of the meeting, which was devoted to following up on the disclosure and transparency rates of the various executive and government agencies, Al-Koni stressed the need to increase disclosure rates, follow up and rationalize spending, and work to provide the best services to citizens.
The meeting stressed importance of joint coordination between the regulatory and executive bodies to work to achieve equity in distribution, taking into account the number of population and geographical distribution in development projects, and discussed the plan of economic reforms and due management for the current and future phases. At the end of the meeting, the financial allocations for the section 1 were addressed in accordance with the laws enforced in a number of sectors.
