HNEC follows up mechanisms for implementing plans and programmes to hold elections.

Tripoli, 24 July, 2022 (Lana) - The Board of the High National Elections Commission (HNEC) discussed, Sunday, plans and projects for developing its work.

The meeting, which was held by Chairperson of the Commission’s Council, Imad Al-Sayeh, in the presence of members of the Council, and a number of directors of departments and sections, reviewed the necessary procedures for the process of developing the voter registration system, and what has been implemented, to be ready for modernization in the coming period.

The meeting was attended by representatives of the United Nations Election Support Team in Libya (UN) and the head of the office of the International Organization for Electoral Systems in Libya (IFES), at the headquarters of the Commission.

This meeting comes in a series of meetings that the Commission has begun to hold to follow up the level of readiness of the departments and offices of the Commission, to implement the expected electoral due process and ways to enhance it.
