President of Presidential Council participates in fourth semi-annual coordination meeting of the African Union.

   Lusaka, 17 July 2022 (Lana) President of the Presidential Council Mohamed Al Mnefi, in his capacity as Vice-President of the African Union and President of the Arab Maghreb Union, participated in the fourth semi-annual coordination meeting of the African Union chaired by Senegalese President Maki Sal, President of the current session of the African Union, with the participation of the president of the host country, Zambian President Hakindi Heshelima.

 The meeting, which was attended by the heads of regional economic groups and African regional mechanisms and the President of the African Union Commission, discussed a number of important issues on the continent's agenda, such as the African Union's response to the Covid epidemic, implementation of the African Continental Free Trade Area, the evaluation of the implementation of the first 10-year plan, the development of the second 10-year implementation plan for the 2063 agenda, the status of continental integration in Africa, as well as cooperation between regional economic groups and the division of work between them and the African Union.
