Tripoli, June 5, 2022 (LANA) - Britain's ambassador to Libya, "Caroline Horndel", announced on Sunday evening, the reopening of her country's embassy in Tripoli, after a hiatus of nearly eight years.
"I am pleased and proud to announce the official reopening of the British Embassy in Libya tonight, and this is a testament to the UK's commitment to Libya," Horndel said in a tweet via her official account on the social networking site Twitter.
The ambassador added that Britain "will continue to work with the Libyans and the United Nations to reach a lasting political settlement for Libya."
