The Joint Military Commission 5+5 to meet in Tunisia on Tuesday and Wednesday.

   Paris, 4 June 2022 (Lana) The Joint Military Commission 5+5 concerned with the ceasefire in Libya, which has suspended meetings since April, will hold meetings in Tunisia on Tuesday and Wednesday, under the auspices of the United Nations and France, the Africa Intelligence reported on its SMS page said.

The Africa Intelligence revealed that the meetings would focus the disarmament of armed groups and the withdrawal of mercenaries and foreign forces, subjects on which little progress has been made so far.

 Meetings of the Joint Military Commission, which have been suspended since last April, after it succeeded in putting in place a ceasefire last October, are scheduled to resume next week in Tunis. The focus will be on negotiating the disarmament of militias and the withdrawal of foreign forces, two areas in which little progress has been made so far.
