Al-Manfi discusses with the president and members of the coordination of the Libyan parliamentary elections the repercussions of the political crisis in the country.

Tripoli, May 22, 2022 (LANA) - The President of the Presidential Council, "Mohamed Al-Manfi," affirmed the council's endeavor to achieve the aspirations of the Libyan people who registered in the voter lists, to hold free and transparent elections in accordance with a legal framework agreed upon by all.

This came during his meeting today, Sunday, with the head and members of the Libyan Parliamentary Elections Coordination, to discuss the latest developments in the country, efforts to hold elections and cross the country to safety.

During the meeting, Al-Manfi indicated that the Presidential Council is in constant contact with all parties to achieve all the requirements of the stage, starting with national reconciliation, ending with elections and achieving peace and stability.

The meeting, which was held at the council's office in Tripoli, reviewed the political situation and ways to overcome the current crisis and its repercussions that threaten the country's security and unity.

The Chairman and members of the Coordination presented to the President of the Council an initiative to resolve the crisis and the political blockage in the country, through an extensive explanation, summing it up in several essential points, as a contribution from the Coordination to ending the transitional stages and achieving permanent stability, praising the consistent policy of the Presidential Council, standing at the same distance from all parties, In his quest to reach a peaceful solution to end the crisis.
