Attempt to smuggle illegal immigrants foiled on one of the beaches of Sabratha.

Tripoli, 4 May 2022 (Lana) Security patrols of the Sabratha Security Directorate in the early morning hours of Wednesday thwarted an attempt to smuggle illegal immigrants.
The directorate said in a statement that a traffickers were embarking on a smuggling operation on one of the city's sea shores. The Directorate explained that members of the human smuggling ring fled, leaving behind five vehicles which they used for trafficking at the crime scene.
The Directorate confirmed that all seizures had been referred to the Criminal Investigation department and that the necessary procedures had been taken.
