The Oil Corporation demands that anyone interested in the matter open the port of Zuweitina to obtain storage capacities, warning of "imminent environmental disaster.

Tripoli, 30 April 2022 (Lana) The National Oil Corporation (NOC) on Saturday appealed to those with interest in allowing it to operate the port of Zuweitina to immediately ease inventory and obtain storage capacity, warning of an imminent environmental disaster at the port of Zuweitina. The corporation confirmed in a statement that it is doing its utmost to solve all the bottlenecks it faces in removing the raw materials of the Abu Al Tuful fields and the Zuweitina and storing them in the tanks allocated to the port of Zuweitina and due to the wax feature of the Abu Al Tuful crude, where it needs to stir and constant heating and non-stop otherwise it will freeze in line and therefore the losses will be heavy and could amount to the loss of the operation of the line completely," calling for allowing "the port to operate immediately or at the very least allow us to ship one shipment to ease the inventory and get on additional storage capacities at the port to accommodate what is in the line."

The Corporation stated in its statement published on its official website that «The crude of the Abu Al Tuful is produced from the fields of Abu Al-Tuful and sand in addition to the production area 107 of the bed company, which is about 130 km from the field A 103 of the company of Zweitina and is placed in Dedicated tanks contain heaters and a recycling system and then pumped to the port of Zweitina by removing it with zweynet ore, a mixture of crude produced from both gulf company's 103 fields and Al Nafoura at accurately calculated rates."
