Al-Sunni discusses with the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court cooperation between the court and Libyan judicial authorities.

New York, 30 April 2022 (Lana) Libya's UN representative Al Taher Al-Sunni discussed with ICC Prosecutor Karim Khan ways of coordination between the court and the Libyan judicial authorities.
This came in a meeting held Thursday at the headquarters of the Libyan mission in New York, during which "Karim Khan" reviewed his 23rd report ahead of his briefing before the Security Council, according to a tweet posted by Al Sunni.
Al Sunni said he affirmed during the meeting that achievement of justice in Libya is a sovereign competence of the Libyan national judiciary, reflecting Libyan sovereignty over its territory and its citizens, and that cooperation with the court comes within the framework of the memorandum of understanding signed between the Office of the Libyan Attorney General and the Office of the General Prosecutor, as an auxiliary role to the Libyan judiciary, not a substitute for it.
