Pulbished on:Tripoli, April 29, 2022 (LANA) - The Adviser to the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Stephanie Williams, said that she met in Paris with a number of French officials and discussed with them the current situation in Libya and future prospects.
On her account via the “Twitter” network, the UN adviser tweeted today, Friday, saying: (I met in Paris yesterday with Mr. Paul Soler, the French special envoy to Libya, as well as other senior French officials, and I took the opportunity to brief them on the current situation in Libya, including the consultations that recently held in Cairo during April 13-18 for the joint committee of the House of Representatives and the State Supreme Council, and the intention to hold a follow-up meeting in mid-May in Cairo).
She added; (we discussed the importance of supporting the constitutional electoral process in Libya in order to hold national elections based on a solid constitutional framework as soon as possible, as well as the importance of ensuring that work is also done to maintain the continuity of the security and economic tracks).
