Pulbished on:

New York, 30 January, 2022 (Lana) - The American network "CNN", in its English edition, conducted an interview with the US ambassador and special envoy to Libya, Richard Norland, in which he talked about the great challenge in Libya, and the future of the Libyan elections represented in ‘ensure that Repeating the passage of the election date, like the previous one on the 24th of last December, will undermine credibility in setting the new date, and it will not be long before the Libyans completely lose confidence in the entire electoral process, on which they rely a lot for the reconstruction of the country, reviving the economy and protecting the borders, and that any Libyan leaders they are seen as disrupting the process... they know that they will face accountability from the people’.

Norland said that Stephanie Williams, the Special Adviser to the UN Secretary-General, is leading efforts to restore things to normal and hold elections according to the time frame set by the roadmap of the dialogue forum, which ends next June.
