Istanbul, December 18, 2021 (LANA) - The President of the Presidential Council, "Mohamed Al-Mnifi," affirmed that Libya aspires to play a greater role in the development of Turkish-African relations due to its geographical location, as it is one of the most important maritime gateways to the African continent.

In a speech he delivered at the third summit of the Turkish-African Partnership in Istanbul, Al-Mnifi said that the colonial experiences by most of the countries of the African continent made them keen to build external political and economic relations that respect their independence, sovereignty and national choices, within the international principles of partnership between countries.

In his speech, the President of the Presidential Council indicated that it is not hidden from one of the delicate circumstances that Libya has experienced at this sensitive stage, calling for more effort to be made to enhance the stability of Libya, by supporting the existing temporary political authority, represented by the Presidential Council, to achieve the security, economic and political benefits, entrusted with it, in accordance with the road map approved by the Political Dialogue Committee in Geneva.
