GNU Foreign Minister meets UN Secretary-General's Special Adviser on Libya Stephanie Williams.
Pulbished on:Tripoli, 13 December 2021 (Lana) -Foreign Minister and International Cooperation Najla Al-Manoush met Monday at the ministry's headquarters in Tripoli, the UN Secretary-General's special adviser on Libya, Stephanie Williams, and the UN Support Mission delegation in Libya.
Al-Mangoush welcomed the special Adviser of the UN Secretary-General, praising her efforts in the success of the political process in Libya, and stressing government's support for the success of the electoral process despite the difficulties, affirming that Libyans want to see stability and their country a sovereign state.
For her part, the UN Special Adviser to the UN Secretary-General praised government's support for the electoral process, warning against getting dragged into rumors that are fueling public opinion on the social media.
Williams noted the need for everyone to make the electoral process a success, praising the success of the Libya Stability Conference organized by the Foreign Ministry in Tripoli on October 21st.
She also stressed importance of liaison between the Foreign Ministry and the UN Mission to achieve the desired goals.
