Jan Kubis, meets with the Joint Committee 410 on organizing and absorbing the supporting force in state institutions.

Tripoli, November 17, 2021 (LANA) - The Special Envoy of the Secretary-General of the United Nations and Head of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya, Mr. Jan Kubis, met today in Tripoli with the Joint Committee 410 on organizing and absorbing the supporting force in state institutions.

The committee presented a detailed presentation of its meetings throughout the period of its work and its communication with the various state institutions, and the results of its work in establishing a special database to count the supporting forces according to a form, was prepared to push the implementation of the results of the committee’s work into effect by the government of national unity.

The sources of the committee indicated that what were included in the system is about (1,600) of the support force who filled out the questionnaires that were distributed previously, noting that most of the supporting force are from holders of higher degrees, and they were forced to take up arms and defend Tripoli.

  The sources confirmed that the committee is currently seeking a process of integration through the work of the committee and its meeting with the previous ministries, and they are counting on the ministries to be supportive of the committee's work.

   The sources indicated that the military institution absorbed, trained and graduated, and another group was absorbed by the Ministry of Interior and launched other courses, but students are still there.

    The sources confirmed that the meeting with the head of the mission clarified the picture in which the committee worked and the extent of the assistance that the mission would provide in several areas, including the demobilization and integration process. =Lana=
