The Assistant Secretary-General of the League of Arab States discusses in Moscow the developments of the Libyan crisis.
Pulbished on:Cairo, September 04, 2021 (LANA) - The Assistant Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, Ambassador "Hossam Zaki", discussed during his visit to Moscow with the Russian Deputy Foreign Minister and President Putin's envoy to the Middle East and Africa, Mikhail Bogdanov, the developments of the Libyan crisis.
An official source in the General Secretariat said that "Zaki"'s visit to Moscow witnessed a long session of talks with "Bogdanov" and senior officials of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
The source explained that the meetings witnessed extensive and in-depth discussions on various issues in the Arab region, foremost of which are the security and political situations in Libya and other issues of common interest.
The official page of the League quoted Ambassador "Hossam Zaki" as saying after concluding his meetings in Moscow that the talks were excellent and were characterized by frankness and also contributed to clarifying the visions of each party about the positions of the other party, as well as the Russian side's support for the positions of the Arab League regarding restoring stability in the Arab region.
