The US envoy to Libya and the Deputy Prime Minister discuss efforts to unify the military institution in the country.
Pulbished on:Tripoli, June 08, 2021 (LANA) - The United States Ambassador and Special Envoy to Libya, Richard Norland, stressed the importance of intensifying all efforts to combat terrorism, expressing his country's aspiration to achieve stability and security in Libya.
This came during a phone call made by Ambassador "Richard Norland" today, Tuesday, with the Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, "Ramadan Abu Jnah."
Norland stressed the importance of the participation of all active groups in the southern region in the efforts to stabilize Libya and support the upcoming Berlin meeting to be held on the 27th of this month.
For his part, Deputy Prime Minister Ramadan Abu Jnah praised the efforts of the US Special Envoy to support and implement the outcomes of the Libyan political dialogue and his keenness on the importance of relations between the two countries.
The phone call dealt with a number of files related to political developments in Libya, and efforts to unify institutions in Libya, in addition to efforts to support the path of the Military Committee 5 + 5 and unify the military institution in the country.
