Tripoli, 14 January 2021(Lana) The Speaker of Tripoli-based
Parliament Hmuda Siala said the African role in Libya was humble,
despite the fact that Africa is directly affected by what's going on
in Libya, which allowed negative interventions by some parties.
Speaking at the Libyan-African Forum on Thursday, Siala said the
border and demographic contact between Libya and Africa makes what
happens in Libya directly affecting security and stability of the
African continent.
'We look forward to a more vigorous African role in solving the
Libyan crisis, and adoption of recommendations of the High-Level
African Committee set up by the African Union to engage a prominent
African body in the work of the UN Support Mission in Libya.
