FM Siala Calls from Moscow on Parties convinced of military solution in Libya to reconsider its Calculations.

Tripoli, 30 December 2020 (Lana) GNA Foreign Minister,
Mohamed Siala has called from Moscow on all Parties confident of
military solution in Libya to reconsider their Calculations and to
approach all parties in support of peaceful settlement and help in
the process of departure of foreign fighters from the country.
At a joint press conference in Moscow with his Russian
counterpart, Sergi Levarove, Siala called for support of the
concluded agreements during the negotiations, and outcomes of the
joint (5+5) Military Committee formed from Libyan rivals under the
auspices of the UN on the withdrawal of foreign fighters from the
country.
Russia Today Channel quoted Siala as stressing the need for a
realistic analysis of the Libyan situation, pointing out that House
of Representatives using Tobrouk City as its headquarters convenes
with less than a quarter of its total number, as over two-thirds
meeting in Tunis and Ghadames.
Siala warned against the steps taken under the pretext of the
fight against terrorism has driven Libya to the current state and led
to international conflicts on Libyan soil. "There were talks about
light weapons, now there are strategic warplanes' he added.
About Egyptian delegation's visit to Libya, he said despite the
importance of the visit it came very late. We very much hoped that
the Egyptian side was near to both sides on equal bases in order to
explore their thinking and contribute to confidence building between
both parties'.
On Hafter recent threats of war, Siala said GNA hopes no party
should think of 'Igniting war once again'. He stressed that the GNA
does not think of abandoning its responsibilities to 'Protect Tripoli
and all Libyan cities'.
