The Minister of Interior holds a high-level security meeting with the Egyptian delegation visiting Tripoli.

Tripoli, December 27, 2020 (LANA) - The Minister of Interior in the
Government of National Accord "Fathi Bashagha" discussed today,
Sunday, with the Egyptian delegation visiting the capital, Tripoli,
the common security challenges and ways to enhance security
cooperation between the two brotherly countries.
According to the official electronic page of the Ministry of
Interior that published the news, which was attended by the head of
the Libyan Intelligence Service, ways to support the ceasefire
agreement were discussed and the outputs of the (5 + 5) committee
were discussed in order to support the international efforts on
political dialogue and get out of the current crisis by political and
peaceful means.
The Ministry indicated that this meeting comes within the security
policies of the Ministry of Interior, which aims to consolidate
cooperation relations with brotherly and friendly countries and the
importance of joint work between Cairo and Tripoli.
The Egyptian delegation, which includes officials from the
Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Intelligence, headed by the
agent of the intelligence service, "Ayman Badi", arrived in Tripoli
this morning on a visit to Libya, the first in years.
According to local media outlets, the delegation will meet during
this visit a number of officials of the Government of National
Accord, including the Minister of Foreign Affairs, "Muhammad Sayala,"
but the Libyan official authorities did not discuss this visit or
publish any details about its content.
