Emergency meeting called for by President of Presidency Council Concluded awaiting its Final Statement.

Tripoli, 1 December 2020 (Lana) Emergency meeting called for by
President of Presidency Council, Fayez Assaraj on decision of
Chairman of National Oil Corporation, Mustafa Sanalla, freezing oil
revenues and not transferring it to the Central Bank of Libya.
The call to the meeting attended by High State Council, National
Audit Bureau, and first deputy President of House of Representatives,
Governor of Central Bank of Libya, Minister of Finance, Governor of
Central Bank of Libya, President of National Oil Corporation to
discuss solutions to repercussions of oil revenues.
In press statement, President of Presidency Council spokesman,
Ghaleb Al Zaghali, said preparation are underway to draft a final
statement on the outcome reached by the meeting.
Oil revenue freezing decision prompted the dwindling of the rate
of the Libyan dinar against foreign currency to reach about 7 dinars
per a dollar, and increase never recorded even during the war on
Tripoli last April, reflecting negatively on the daily life of the
public and increases their hardships.
