meetings ended in Tunisia on Sunday without reaching an agreement
over naming those will take the posts of the Presidency Council and
the new government, which was regarded as a disappoint on part of the
Libyan citizens who pinned hope on the Tunis talks to get the country
out of its crisis.
Lana political commentator welcomed the outcome of the political
dialogue sessions describing the talks as a step in the right
direction towards establishing the law and order state.
Despite the fact that the participants have agreed to hold
election in Dec. 2021, they failed to name the leaders of the new
council and the government which led the UN Special Envoy to Libya
Stephanie Williams to declare that talks would resume via video link
next week to agree on mechanisms of eligibility to Council and
Government posts.
The political commentator emphasized the importance of keep the
momentum created by what had been achieved thus far; eliminating the
threat of war in the country, and called on participants to put the
interests of Libya first, reminding them that history will remember
those who play a positive role in saving the homeland and preserving
its unity and independence.
