GNA Minister of Defense and his Turkish counterpart discuss cooperation in the field of defense and training.

Istanbul, 15 November, 2020 (Lana) GNA Minister of Defense,
Salahaddeen Al-Nimroush held talks with Turkish Defense Minister,
Khalousi Akar in Istanbul on Saturday focusing on strengthening joint
cooperation between the two countries in the field of defense,
training and exchange of experiences and information.
In a press statement after the meeting, Al-Nimroush said he and his
Turkish counterpart reviewed training programmes that Libyan army
members will receive at training institutes under the Ministry of
Defense of the Government of National Accord.
In an earlier meeting with the Italian Defense Minister, Minister of
Defence Al-Nimroush discussed mechanisms to strengthen cooperation
between the two countries in search and rescue operations in the
Mediterranean and support the Libyan navy, the minister of defence
said.
Al-Nimroush pointed out that the Ministry of Defense is seeking to
develop its relations with friendly and brotherly countries in the
field of capacity building and strengthening bilateral cooperation.
He also referred to his visit to Qatar, during which he signed a
protocol of cooperation in training and capacity building will
contribute to supporting and building cadres and capabilities and
benefiting from experiences.
