Tripoli, November 4, 2020 (LANA) - The Acting Special
Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations in
Libya, Stephanie Williams, confirmed that the mission will work with
the participants in the Libyan Political Dialogue Forum scheduled to
be held on the ninth of November on a roadmap aimed at setting a
date for holding general elections.
"In Tunisia, we will work with the 75 invited people on a
political roadmap for the near future, and the primary goal will be
to set a date and roadmap for holding general elections," Williams
said during a press conference in Ghdames to announce the results of
the 5 + 5 Joint Military Committee meeting.
Speaking to reporters, Williams expressed her hope that "the
political class will rise to the same level of national
responsibility that we saw in the members of the Joint Military
Committee".
