GNA Ministry of Interior Says It Returns 118 Illegal Migrants to Libya.

Tripoli, 3 November 2020(Lana) The GNA Interior Ministry on Monday announced that it has returned 118 illegal migrants who were on a boat attempting to reach European shores. The Ministry said one of its Coast Guard boats has intercepted a boat carrying 118 illegal migrants including 6 women and a child. The Interior Ministry said in coordination with the International Organisation of Migration, the migrants were taken to a detention centre and offered food and medical assistance. The operation is part of the Ministry's plan to upgrade the Coast Guard by intensifying naval patrols to secure the coastal areas and provide emergency assistance when needed. =Lana=
