Preparations Are Complete for Convening 5+5 Committee Meeting in Ghadamis.

Tripoli, 2 November 2020(Lana) Preparations for the fifth session of the Military Committee 5+5 which will be held in Ghadamis from 2-4 November in Ghadamis from 2-4 November are completed, Jana Correspondent in the city reported. He said the members of the committee and the UN Special Representative Stephanie Williams were expected to arrive shortly in Ghadamis, as the meeting was expected to get underway later this afternoon. The Government of National Accord said it has put in place a security plan to secure the meetings. The UN Support Mission in Libya UNSMIL said in a statement yesterday the session, the first to be convened inside Libya, comes following the signing of the permanent ceasefire by the two delegations in Geneva on October 23. The meeting was expected to discuss mechanisms of executing the ceasefire agreement including setting up sub-committee and mechanisms of monitoring and verification of implementation of the ceasefire, according to the statement. =Lana=
