5+5 Committee to Convene First Meeting Inside Libya.

Tripoli, 1 November 2020(Lana) The Military Committee 5+5 is scheduled to convene its fifth session of talks in Ghadamis from 2-4 November, the first meeting inside Libya. The UN Support Mission in Libya UNSMIL said in a statement 'the session comes following the signing of the permanent ceasefire by the two delegations in Geneva on October 23. The statement said the UN Special Envoy to Libya Stephanie Williams will attend the meeting. The meeting is said to discuss mechanisms of executing the ceasefire agreement including setting up sub-committee and mechanisms of monitoring and verification of implementation of the ceasefire, according to the statement. On Tuesday the UN Security Council called on Libyan parties to respect their commitments and to implement the ceasefire agreement in full. =Lana=
