Tripoli, October 31, 2020 (Lana) - The President of the
Presidency Council of the Government of National Accord, Mr. Fayez
Al-Sarraj, and the Acting Special Representative of the
Secretary-General of the United Nations, Mrs. Stephanie Williams,
agreed that the Libyan Political Dialogue Forum, to be held in Tunis
on the 9th of next November, represents a historic opportunity, for
Libyan politicians to decide the path of moving towards a political
solution without outside interference, according to a clear and
binding roadmap with specific dates, to reach national elections that
will be held on a solid constitutional basis.
This came during the meeting of "Al-Sarraj" this Saturday morning
in Tripoli with "Stephanie" in the framework of the consultation
process on the next steps to resume the political track in accordance
with the outcomes of the Berlin conference.
The two sides affirmed that the political solution includes all
Libyans, and that everyone puts the nation's interests above their
personal and regional interests, in order to preserve Libya's
sovereignty, independence, territorial integrity and national unity.
