The Director General of the National Center for Disease Control discusses with the Italian ambassador the epidemiological situation of the Corona pandemic.

Tripoli 20 October 2020 (LANA) - The Director General of the
National Center for Disease Control, Prof. Dr. Badr El-Din Al-Najjar,
discussed yesterday at the center's headquarters in Tripoli with the
Italian ambassador to Libya, Giuseppe Buccino, during his visit to
the center, the local epidemiological situation of the Corona
pandemic and the efforts made locally and internationally to face
this epidemic.
During this meeting, which was attended by the Deputy Head of
the Italian Mission, Mr. Walter Demartino, Mr. Giuseppe Buccino
expressed his gratitude for the center's efforts in providing
laboratory diagnostic services to international partners.
Puccino affirmed that the Italian government supports the
center's programs in combating the Corona pandemic and the
partnership programs with the National Center, especially in the
southern regions.
He explained that the Italian government's support project for the
center includes the distribution of essential medicines, medical
equipment and personal protection equipment in addition to working on
access to health protection services for immigrants, displaced
persons, people with disabilities and special needs, and providing
psychological and social support programs.
