Tripoli, September 24, 2020 (LANA) - The United Nations Support
Mission in Libya denied today, Thursday, its responsibility for the
circulation of the names of participants in the Libyan Political
Dialogue Forum sponsored by the United Nations, which is scheduled to
be held in Geneva in the coming weeks.
In a circular issued by the mission about the lists of participants
rumored to have been leaked, the official spokesperson for the United
Nations mission, "Jan Abu Alam," said: "Once again, I would like to
emphasize that the mission is not responsible for any information
circulating, including the circulation of multiple copies with names
of participants in the next Libyan Political dialogue forum, as long
as this information or names were not issued by the mission or
published on its website or official pages on social media platforms.
Abu Alam confirmed that the mission is in the process of preparing to
hold the Libyan Political Dialogue Forum in the coming weeks, and
that once arrangements are completed, the mission will publish all
the details related to the dialogue, including the date and place of
the meeting and what concerns the participants.
International contacts are continuing to arrange the next round of
negotiations between the parties to the Libyan crisis in Geneva under
the auspices of the United Nations at the Libyan Political Dialogue
