Bourita said 'having a way out of the Libyan crisis hinges on three
basic factors Libyan patriotic spirit, that a solution cannot but be
political and the third is confidence in the ability of the House of
Representatives and the High Council of State, as two legitimate
institutions, to overcome difficulties and enter into real dialogue
for the good of the country.
This came in remarks Bourita made at the opening session of the
Libyan dialogue which kicked off in the Moroccan Atlantic city of
Buzneiga.
Bourita said, in his remarks carried by the official Moroccan
news agency, the positive dynamism shown recently namely the
ceasefire announcement and initiatives made by Libyan antagonists
could pave the way for progress towards a solution to the Libyan
crisis.
Bourita said Morocco was always working with the UN and under its
umbrella and will continue to do so in the future, indicating that
this was emphasized to the Acting UN Special Envoy to Libya at her
visit to Morocco recently.
'Morocco's approach to the Libyan crisis was outlined by King
Mohamed VI that this issue is neither diplomatic nor political
wrangling but rather an issue of a brotherly Maghreb state with whom
we are bound by sincere fraternity, and the stability of which is
part and parcel of ours.'
Bourita said Morocco has no hidden agenda in Libya, but is keen
to support the people of Libya come out of their crisis, and shun off
the victorious and defeated equation.
The first session of representatives of the House of
Representatives and the High Council of State was wounded up on
Sunday and was expected to resume on Monday.
A diplomatic sources at the meeting said there was a considerable
consensus among the representatives, they agreed an agenda for the
meeting which will consider distribution of sovereign posts.
