President of the Presidential Council Meets with the Turkish President in Istanbul.

Istanbul, September 7, 2020 (LANA) - Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan received the President of the Presidential Council of the Government of National Accord, Mr. Faiz Al-Sarraj on Sunday in Istanbul. The meeting dealt with the latest developments in Libya and the prospects for security and economic cooperation between the two friendly countries. At the beginning of the meeting, the President expressed his appreciation for Turkey's stance in support of the Government of National Accord, and its keenness to make the political settlement track a success to reach the Libyans through consensus on a constitutional path and legislative and presidential elections. For his part, President Erdogan welcomed the visit of Mr. Al - Sarraj And the resumption of the three Berlin tracks, the military, economic and political security tracks. On the other hand, the two presidents discussed during the meeting a number of joint cooperation files, the most prominent of which was the file of the return of Turkish companies to complete the stalled infrastructure projects in Libya, and contribute to new projects.
