UN Secretary General: Implementing Ceasefire in Libya Requires Meeting of Military Committee 5+5.

New York, 23 August 2020(Lana) UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres has called implementing the calls for a ceasefire and end of hostilities in Libya which were made by the Head of the Presidency Council Fayez Al Serraj and the Speaker of Parliament Ageela Saleh on Friday. Guterres expressed hope that all Libyan parties would honour the calls for an immediate ceasefire, and implement it in an urgent fashion through the UN- led Military Committee 5+5. In a statement attributed to his Spokesman and published on the UN official website, the UN Secretary General welcomed a call to lift the blockage on oil exports. He called on all parties to positively engage in a comprehensive political process based on the Berlin Conference results and the Security Council Resolution No. 2510 of 2020. =Lana=
