Smuggling- combat Unit of Zwara Rescues Illegal Migrants East of Mellita.

Tripoli, 3 August 2020(Lana) The Anti-Smuggling Unit, Zwara which
is affiliated to the Marine Operations Office of the General
Department for Combating Illegal Migration, has rescued a number of
illegal migrants, who it said were on a wooden boat, and sent a SOS,
18 miles east of Mellita.
According to the GNA Interior Ministry website, 20 illegal
migrants, who were of Arab and African nationalities, have been
rescued.
The migrants were handed over to the unit headquarters, where
they were given medical and humanitarian assistance before handing
them over to the Migration Combating Body in Zwara.
