Tripoli, July 28, 2020 (LANA) - Vice President of the Presidential
Council, Ahmed Omar Maitiq, met today, Tuesday, the Ambassador of the
Federal Republic of Germany to Libya, "Oliver Owcza", to discuss
developments in the Libyan arena and the military situation in the
cities of Sirte and AlJufra.
The meeting, which was held at the Prime Minister's Office in
Tripoli, discussed ways to develop bilateral relations between the
two friendly countries, especially in the field of energy, and the
vice president stressed the need for the return of German companies
working in the electricity field after the improvement of the
security situation in the western region.
Ambassador "Oliver Owcza" expressed his country's support for the
efforts to cease fire and solve the Libyan crisis through the Berlin
outputs held at the end of last year and stressed that the military
escalation is not in the interest of the Libyans.
