The European Union mission in Libya calls for a serious participation in the "5 + 5" talks.

Brussels, 11.06.202 - Lana - Head of the European Union Mission to
Libya "Alan Bogia" stressed the necessity for serious participation
of the Libyan parties in the "5 + 5" talks under the auspices of the
UN mission, which aims to achieve a ceasefire.
This came during a call made by "Bogia" with the Minister of Foreign
Affairs of the National Accord Government, "Mohamed Siala", Sunday,
according to what was published by the European Union Mission to
Libya.
"Bugia" expressed his hope that the recent developments on the ground
in Libya will lead to a return to the political track, stressing the
humanitarian obligations of the conflicting parties to ensure the
protection of civilians.
The European Mission stated that during the call, the two parties
discussed the "IRINI" operation and its mandate to contribute to the
implementation of the United Nations arms embargo.
In addition to the role of the "IRINI" process in curbing illicit oil
transactions, after a recent obstruction by one of the ships in the
process to load oil in violation of the relevant Security Council
resolutions.
