Washington, 11.06.2020 - Lana - US Secretary of State "Mike
Pompeo", Wednesday, welcomed the resumption of UN-led talks between
the warring parties in Libya, calling on the parties to the conflict
to conduct rapid negotiations to reach a cease-fire.
Pompeo said at a press conference that the agreement between the
parties to the Libyan crisis to return to the United Nations security
talks was a positive step.
He added that quick negotiations and what he described as goodwill
were required to implement the ceasefire and to re-launch Libyan-led
UN political talks.
On June 2, the United Nations Mission announced that the Libyan
parties agreed to resume ceasefire talks.
