The UN mission welcomes international calls for a ceasefire in Libya.

Tripoli, 11.01.2020 - Lana- The UN envoy to Libya, 'Ghassan Salama'
welcomed the recent calls for a ceasefire in Libya by a number of
countries and international and regional organizations.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, "Salama" called on all
international and local parties to immediately respond to these calls
and the initiative to stop the military operations in all parts of
Libya in order to spare the country more bloodshed and more suffering
for its people who suffered woes as a result of this war. The UN
envoy appealed to the international community, especially the
countries concerned with the Libyan file, to take advantage of the
current momentum to push forward the Berlin track to reach an
international consensus on the Libyan crisis.
Salama called for creating an international umbrella to support and
protect the three tracks launched by the UN mission, which is limited
exclusively to Libyans, aimed at addressing the Libyan crisis in all
its, economic, financial, military, security, and political aspects.
