N'djamena, 23.11.2019 - Lana - Chadian President Idriss Deby said
that conflicts in neighboring countries and insecurity caused by the
Boko Haram terrorist operations have affected all imports and exports
to Libya, causing an economic crisis for the country.
Deby, speaking at the opening of a conference of Chadian ambassadors
accredited abroad in N'djamena, deplored the repercussions of
conflicts in neighboring countries on the country's economy, saying:
all our imports and exports to Libya, Nigeria and Central African
Republic were halted, and such significant has led to an
unprecedented high cost of living in our country. "
He pointed to these economic problems after "the massive repatriation
of more than 500 thousand Chadian citizens from Libya and the Central
African Republic, as well as the presence of hundreds of thousands of
refugees displaced from neighboring countries in Chad since 2003."
