EU Decides to Expand Authorization of its Mission for Border Control in Libya.

Brussels, 18 December 2018(Lana) The EU Ministerial Council has
decided to expand authorization of its mission for bolder control in
Libya, to help combat crime and trafficking.
The decision, according to the Council, was in response to
requests by the Libyan authorities, and was also in line with the EU
policy to assist Libya overcome the transitional period and transit
to democracy and prosperity.
The EU Mission is cooperating with the UN Support Mission in
Libya UNSMIL to provide support and strategic planning to assist
Libya control its borders.
