MMR Al Hasawnah Branch Says Assaults on Wells Continue.

Tripoli, 10 December 2018(Lana) The Man-made River Authority Administration Al Hasawnah Branch has announced that the western field was a target to an assault by an armed terror group, which resulted in destruction, sabotage and stealing of 4 wells, which brings to 92 the number of wells rendered out of service. The MMR Administration said in a statement on Monday the assaults were triggered by a sheer lack of protection of the strategic wells which supply coastal cities and the Al Gabal Al Gharbi with fresh water, as well as the deterioration of the security situation. It appealed to the legislative and executive authorities to intervene to protect the MMR wells, warning that such assaults on the MMR facilities will lead to water supply cut-off to those cities. =Lana=
