Migrant Ship Problem Solved.
Pulbished on:
Misrata, 21 November 2018(Lana) A Coast Guard force of the
central sector on Tuesday intervened to end a standoff on a migrant
ship at the port of Misrata, after migrants on board refused to leave
the vessel. The problem was resolved peacefully.
The ship helped rescue the migrants who were stranded in the Sea
and headed to the Misrata Seaport, but the migrants refused to
disembark, despite appeals even by their respectful diplomatic
missions representatives.
The storming of the ship was carried out with orders from the
General Prosecution and the Interior Ministry Undersecretary for
Migration Affairs.
The incident was resolved without any of the migrants being
injured, according to a statement by the Commander of the Central
Sector of the Coast Guard Col. Tawfik Al Sekir.
The Coast Guard got control over the ship and evacuated the
migrants who were taken to a migrant detention centre in Misrata.
