Presidency Council Spokesman: Elections Track and Date to be Decided by Libyans Alone.

Tripoli, 7 August 2018(Lana) The Presidency Council Official
Spokesman has conveyed assertions by the Head of the Council that
elections track and date were matters for the Libyan people to
decide, and alone.
Speaking at the weekly press conference at the Government
headquarters here, Mohamed Al Salak said the Council insisted that
all parties to the political process, especially partners to the
Paris declaration, must live up to their responsibilities.
As for the economic file, the Spokesman said Alserraj discussed,
at a meeting with the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Economy and
the Head of the Price Stabilizing Fund, practical steps to provide
basic goods, to be available to the public at affordable prices,
including activating the Price Stabilizing Fund.
The President of the Presidency Council demanded that all
government institutions contribute to the effort of achieving a
breakthrough on this issue, which he said needed the collaboration of
all bodies, the Spokesman said.
As for the Hajj, the Spokesman said the Government has instructed
the Libyan diplomatic mission in Saudi Arabia to take all actions to
ensure that Libyan pilgrims are well looked after, and rendered all
services they needed.
