President of Presidency Council meets with reconciliation Councils at municipalities.

Tripoli, 12 July 2018 (Lana) President of Presidency Council, Fayez Al sarraj met Wednesday with reconciliation Councils at municipalities. Municipal Reconciliation Council delegation briefed the president that they are in contact with regions of Libya and they took part in the first Libya conference that was successful, as the conferees agreed to unify reconciliation efforts in one body and general reconciliation committee was set up and there are efforts to regulate that. The delegation called on the president to support the second gathering to be held in Jufra soon. The president praised the efforts made by reconciliation councils in these circumstances, referring to previous efforts in this respect, saying 'We extended our hands to all parties all across the spectrum official and non-official parties. he explained that there are other groups working for the same objective, asserting the need to finalize the efforts and agree on Local Peace document, as Libya is in dire need for genuine reconciliation and closing the chapter of the past. Al sarraj briefed the delegation on the political and economic situation and obstacles confronting major political and economic projects citing for instance elections and economic reforms and services projects such as power, water despite the fact that they are national security projects. Al sarraj stressed that such obstacles will not undermine our resolve to transcend the current crises through reconciliation and consensus. =Lana=
