Director of Coast Guard Security meets Italian ambassador to Libya.

Tripoli, 7 June 2018 (Lana) Director of Coast Guard Security at the Ministry of Interior, Col Al bashir Belnour met with the Italian ambassador to Libya to discuss joint work in the fight against crime and illegal migration across the Mediterranean. The meeting held at the Italian embassy covered joint Libyan -Italian cooperation in combating illegal migration, and fighting organized crime across the Mediterranean. Col Al bashir Belnour stressed the importance of such cooperation. On his part the Italian ambassador stressed the need to offer assistance to agencies working in the sea part and foremost the General Department for Coast Security, such as finalizing training programmes and maintenance of boats and importing some vessels and other equipment as per the concluded agreements. =Lana=
