Tripoli, 29 May 2018(Lana) Central Bank of Libya meeting reviewed
National Audit Bureau's (NAB) 2017 report.
The meeting included governor of Central Bank of Libya, Sadiq Al
Kabier, head of House's Financial Committee, Omar Tantoush, Chairman
of Social and Economic Projects Developments, Dr Mohamed Takala and
acting president of Presidency Council, Fathi Al Mujbari, and acting
deputy head of administrative Control and acting minister of finance
as well as head of departments of Ventral Bank of Libya.
The participants of the meeting welcomed the statement of the High
Judiciary Council, which held an extraordinary meeting yesterday to
study NAB report and decided to submit the report to the attorney
general to immediately investigate the matter and present to those
proved to be corrupt to the courts.
It asked the NAB to attach all evidence and supporting documents with
the minutes and submit them to the Attorney General.
They agreed the central bank would repeal its decision restricting
spending to salaries and emergency things.
They stressed respect for all state institutions and their
jurisdictions, and agreed that relevant bodies make their responses
to their respective part in the report.
